  we all recall the appalling example of vin toole during the australian royal commission when he was questioned about"theocratic warefare".

  just before the month ends i would like to congratulate the watchtower magazine for completing its run of 138 years of publication.

  the first copy was printed july 1st 1879. well done watchtower!.

  as a reminder, let people remember that in its time this magazine has one of the world’s largest print runs for a periodical.

  Worldly people

  as i have come to see i have way more friends at school than my kingdom hall but if i get asked about school and i say something about my friends or ask to hang out with my friends to my aunt she gives me a talk about not to like worldly people to much.. for example i ask to go to my friends house (that is a girl)i have known her from 1st grade and my aunt gets mad at me saying what if she says i raped her or something but she lets me go by my self with brothers to hang out if i want but theres a chance i will get raped there to.. read my other posts to understand my story .

  @Akid48 My mother is the EXACT SAME toward worldly people. Disgusting, worst-case scenario generalizations. If I have a coffee at the mall with my toddler and the lady next to me strikes up a conversation about her grandson (for example), I'll happily engage. Now if I relay this pleasant chat to my mother, she'll GUARANTEED berate me for being so "stupid" to talk to a worldly stranger. "What if she's psycho? She could kidnap your son! People are sick! She could have followed you home and done something to you!" I promise you I'm not even exaggerating. I'd say I saw an old colleague while out and about and caught up about the company and how things are back at the office, and my mother would literally dry-retch, making a puking sound to express her disgust for me even acknowledging a worldly person on a social basis. She's a terrible, judgmental human being and I have her decades of WT brainwashing against worldly folks to thank.

  And now in the Silver Sword, the timeline of Bible prophecy at the front shows Satan was cast out in heaven in "about 1914". About. Approximately. Circa. No mention of Jesus taking the throne, either. I sense this date will fall by the wayside in another decade or so. The next wave of JWs will recall the 1914 teaching with the same oblivion many (who are my age) recall the 1925 teaching. Old light.

  It's not the Pope, deacons, priests or pastors it's the Governing Body, Circuit Overeers, Elders and Ministerial Servants! It's not a false prophecy - it was eager expectation. It's not "lack of natural affection" - it's a brotherhood of love. It's not a throng of medicated, miserable, fake smiles - it's JEHOVAH'S HAPPY PEOPLE. It's not an organization of people terrified to speak out because of the ramifications (ie emotional blackmail) - it's an organization of unity! For f*cks sake.

  My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.

  mum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.

  so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.

  watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

  after studying hubble space telescope images of the night's sky and attending classes under disguise at wor-wic community college (air travel and tuition funded by your donations no less), gerrit losch managed to secure a two-thirds majority vote among the governing body to release a second updated edition of the creator book.

  this new edition replaces the "pillars of creation" (eagle nebula) cover photo with "god's birdie" (carina nebula):.

  they've also had a change of heart with regards the concept of intellectual honesty and have updated the quote on page 9 that said:.
